PATCHES Despite my best efforts, sometimes TackyWorld games sneak out the door with a bug or two. If you ever discover one of these nasty critters, please e-mail me so I can fix it. The patches that address these bugs are considered "recommended" and thus I recommend that you download them. Other times, people request a feature, or I add one after the game has been released. These patches are purely optional. The games will play just fine without them. Listed below are any and all patches I have ever released for any of the currently supported TackyWorld games. These patches are compressed with WinRar. If you don't have that utility, click HERE to get a free utility that can unpack them.
Patches For
Chapter 1 This patch is only for people who downloaded The Armageddon Eclair prior to May 7, 2005. This small patch fixes a rarely occurring bug that could create a "walking dead" event in part 1 of The Armageddon Eclair. (FYI, a "walking dead" is when the game can no longer be won but game play continues anyway.) This bug was later fixed in version 2.1 of the game so this patch is only for people who downloaded The Armageddon Eclair prior to May 7, 2005. If you're not sure just what version of the game you have, it is listed under the comment tag of the "EclairComplete" RAR file and also in the game directory when you unpack it. NOTE: Applying this patch to version 2.1 or higher will not affect the game as later versions ship with the bug already squashed.
Chapter 2 This small patch extends the timer for a key arcade sequence in part two of The Armageddon Eclair. This makes the game easier for those players who don't like (or aren't terribly good at) action puzzles. It has been tested with versions 1.0 through 2.1.1 and works fine on all of them. NOTE: This patch should not interfere with any saved games.

Upgrade to
Version 3.2 This patch is only for people who downloaded The Ejection Rejection prior to January 2, 2009. Older builds (v3.0) of the game do no support switching between desktop window mode and true full screen mode. An older patch (v3.1) was released to address this, but it didn't implement full screen mode properly. This new patch corrects the shortcomings of the old patch. This patch will add the variable view mode feature along with a few other minor tweaks. It also pares down the opening movie to a more manageable length and removes the hidden "love scene" that could be unlocked at the end of the game (see the "Director's Cut" patch below on how to restore those bits to version 3.2). NOTE: Applying this patch to version 3.2 will not affect the game as that version already has this improved desktop window mode enabled. NOTE: This patch may interfere with your saved games and you may need to start a new game.
(7.5 Megabytes) OPTIONAL This patch restores the opening movie to it's original length (as seen in versions prior to v3.2). It also restores the hidden cut scene between Noriko and The Chief at the end of the game that you can unlock by completing the game with a perfect score. This risque cut scene was removed from versions 3.2 to keep the game as "family friendly" as possible. But you can restore the game to it's bare bottomed glory with this patch. NOTE: This patch should only be applied to version 3.2. It may corrupt the files of earlier builds of the game. NOTE: This patch WILL interfere with any saved games and you will need to start a new game.
Patches For
Christmas Music
Patch A few people have noted that the music in this game isn't Christmas music, which seems odd considering this is a Christmas game. Download this patch and feel the holiday spirit wash over you. NOTE: This patch will NOT interfere with any saved games.
Patches For
Chapter 1 This small patch fixes a rarely occurring bug that could crash the game in part 1 of The Forever Friday. NOTE: This patch will NOT interfere with any saved games.
Chapter 2 (18 Kilobytes) OPTIONAL For those of you who finished chapter two of The Forever Friday with the Arcade Mode "On," you were treated to the super awesome, Tom Jones fueled, psychedelic dream sequence that I worked so very, very hard at creating. For the rest of you, you got the much less sexy ending. So here's a patch to bypass the final shootout but still see the dream sequence anyway. Why am I doing this? Well, after spending weeks bent over my light table, animating the damn thing by hand, I want to share the fruits of my labor with absolutely everyone! So download and enjoy! NOTE: This patch will NOT interfere with any saved games.
Chapter 3 (254 Kilobytes) OPTIONAL You've made it through the flock of CargoDynes. You threaded the deadly length of Cyclone Alley. You even made it through the fiery hell of the lava maze. But those damn monsters in the underground lake cavern are just too much of a damned nuisance. Well, stop pulling out your hair in frustration! This small patch makes the smaller, roaming monsters as sedentary and lazy as their larger brethren, which should make that arcade sequence much easier. NOTE: This patch will NOT interfere with any saved games.
All Chapters This small patch unlocks hidden adult content in The Forever Friday. However, it is not the sort of adult content you really want anything to do with, trust me. Life for an adult is boring and tedious and this patch gives you the "adult" experience that other games claiming to be "adult" never show you. Real adults with bills to pay and retirements to worry about know what I'm talking about and they play games to get away from being an adult. For everyone else, click here for all the details. NOTE: This patch works for all games in the Forever Friday series except for chapter four. It also works for the upcoming 5th Anniversary game! NOTE: This patch WILL interfere with previously saved games. To take advantage of the patch, you must start a new game.
Patches For
Upgrade to
Version 1.2 This patch is only for people who downloaded Cyclone Alley prior to January 2, 2009. A few people have reported weird things happening to the appearance of their desktops while this game loads -- nothing damaging and nothing that persists after the game has finished loading. Apparently, some people's video cards either don't like Game Maker or the old-school resolution that Cyclone Alley uses. So, I've whipped up this patch that allows you to run the game in a desktop window or full-screen! NOTE: Applying this patch to version 1.2 will not affect the game as that version already has this improved desktop window mode enabled. NOTE: This patch may interfere with your saved games and you may need to start a new game.
Patches For
"Director's Cut"
Patch This patch extends Wreck The Halls' opening movie from a pared-down 14 minutes to its original 23 minute, slightly more risque cinematic extravanganza. Download this patch and test the limits of human endurance in the same way that the super long DVD version of Lord Of The Rings almost forced me to get a prosthetic butt (seriously, I was able to read the Silmarillion in less time!). NOTE: This patch will NOT interfere with any saved games.
"No Arcade"
Patch This patch removes Wreck The Halls' big finale shootout with the murderous robot. Once you solved all the puzzles and are ready to face him, this patch will skip you past the arcade sequence and cut straight to the final movie and closing credits. Once you've installed this patch, either start a new game or load the game from any point PRIOR to the shootout. NOTE: This patch will NOT interfere with any saved games.
Patches For
"AGS Awards
Edition"
Patch Fully Automatic Mojo was nominated for an 2010 AGS Award in the category of Best Non-Adventure Game. I didn't win, but this was only the second time I had been nominated (the first was back in 2005 for Don't Jerk The Trigger of Love -- another arcade game featuring Debbie. I detect a pattern!). To commemorate the event, I put together an special edition of the game. It adds a few new levels and cutscenes. Plus, if you find the missing briefcase, you'll unlock a super secret ending! NOTE: This patch WILL interfere with any saved games. It completely overwrites the old games files and you'll have to start a new game.
"Halloween
Treats"
Patch This tiny patch makes the game easier and unlocks the super hard mode year round instead of only during October. If you've ever wanted to see all four endings of the game, this is the way to go. NOTE: This patch WILL interfere with any saved games. It completely overwrites the old games files and you'll have to start a new game. NOTE: This patch DOES NOT work with the AGS Awards Edition patch, as that patch replaces all four endings with a single, new ending.
Patches For
"Director's
Cut"
Patch Like all of my games, Pucker Factor was a longer, wordier experience before it was trimmed down prior to release. However, most of that dialog is still in there, along with an extra cutscene or two, and an extra puzzle. If you want to get the most mileage out of this game, this patch will help you do that. NOTE: This patch will not effect existing saved games. You'll have to start a new game to unlock the new content.
"AGS Awards
Edition"
Patch Pucker Factor won the 2020 AGS Award in the category of Best Non-Adventure Game. To celebrate this achievement, I put together an special edition of the game. It adds a few new levels, puzzles, dialogs, and cutscenes. Plus, it gives you the choice of several different endings.NOTE: This patch WILL interfere with any saved games. It completely overwrites the old games files and you'll have to start a new game.
